BioSo, who is the owl? What right has the owl to stare cynically at the establishment from a lofty perch?
Ooookay. I'm a student of Politics. I'm Labour by birth and Conservative by experience. I'm not really an owl. If you were just surprised by that, I demand you leave my lj immediately.
The purpose of this Livejournal? -- To provide myself with some light hearted relief at the end of my politics-filled days,
My lifelong ambition and driving force? -- To meet BORIS.
POLITICAL LEANINGS: Central Conservative
Gay marriage - ALL for it. I will fight for equal rights for everyone with my last breath. Marriage is not a hetero privaledge it's a human right.
EU - Started off well but has all gone pear shaped. AGAINST. The euro isn't worth the paper its printed on and most of the budget goes "missing" anyway.
Environment - I've never driven a car. But I'm too lazy to cycle. Very conflicted. Big picture: yeah, in favour. If it really saves the planet, I'll cycle.
Iraq War - Against. It's just turned into a killing free-for-all. What the heck was the point?
Religion - Has no place in politics. Ever. Nope.
Monarchy - Keep them! Waaaay better than a presidential system for the UK, and heck I'd rather have an impartial, and rather nice old lady as Head of State than President Blair *shudder*
That is all I have to say. Trouble the owl no more.
